DERRY, N.H. —

Pinkerton Academy alumnus and University of Tennessee pitcher Liam Doyle became the SEC Pitcher of the Year. He now has the potential to surpass Hall of Famer Carlton Fisk as the highest draft pick in New Hampshire baseball history; Fisk was drafted 4 th overall in 1967.

On Friday, Doyle led the Vols to a 9-2 victory over Miami University, throwing 11 strikeouts and only allowing one run.

So far this season, Doyle is 10-3 with a 2.91 ERA, and his 142 strikeouts are second in the nation for Division I.

Pinkerton baseball head coach Steve Campo said he's excited to see where his former player takes his skills to.
