HORNBROOK, Calif. -- An arrest has been made by CAL FIRE for arson due to the ignition of a vegetation fire near Front St. in Hornbrook.
CAL FIRE investigators determined that the fire was caused "due to unsafe burning practices related to cooking and pile burning."
The fires were "not maintained properly and in compliance of state fire laws," according to investigators.
A 49-year old woman was arrest by a CAL FIRE law enforcement officer and she was taken to jail. She was charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors.
