EGG HARBOR CITY — Angela Krukauskas was inspired to give back after she was on the receiving end of support, generosity and care.
In July 2023, Krukauskas was gifted a building in the city's downtown area, and local carpenters and a roofing company helped along with HVAC and other repairs were done to aid Krukauskas in her quest to feed the area's families.
Last month, the food pantry No1HungryinEHC was open for business. In addition to services provided, Krukauskas and her team set up a living room area where shoppers can sit down and relax, talk with staff about their needs or pick up resources and information.
The organization was also gifted a refurbished, converted ambulance it uses for community events, food pickup and delivery, and outreach.
