INDIANAPOLIS — One person was hospitalized after a crash involving a train and a passenger car on the near east side of Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.

Public law enforcement reporting systems indicate Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the intersection of Massachusetts and Parker Avenues around 2:55 p.m. to investigate a personal injury crash. When police arrived at the scene, they located a train and car that had been involved in a crash.

Officers at the scene told FOX59/CBS4 that the male driver of the passenger car was transported from the scene to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash.
