LEWISTON, Idaho (KTAL/KMSS) — Winning the NAIA championship is a feat in and of itself. But when LSU Shreveport did just that on Friday with a 13-7 win over Southeastern (Florida), they were also making history, becoming the first college baseball team on record to go unbeaten in a season.

It didn't come easily, however.

The LSU Shreveport Pilots, now 59-0, fell behind 4-0 in the 2nd inning but never flinched.

Jose Sallorin drove in two runs in the bottom of the inning with a bases-loaded single up the middle. Shreveport would score three runs in the inning to pull within one.
