A Chandler resident was among the record number of graduates this spring who earned degrees from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

The college graduated 520 students during ceremonies on May 17 — the largest graduating class in the school’s history.

John Quinlivan of Chandler, who earned a psychology degree, was among those 520 graduates, according to a news release.

A Mesa mechanical engineering major and a cum laude graduate in education and psychology from Tempe also earned degrees from the small Kansas college in May.

Benedictine is a Catholic, residential, liberal arts college located on the bluffs above the Missouri River. Its stated mission is to “educate men and women within a community of faith and scholarship.”
