SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - After starting their first year in the USL W-League with three straight road matches, Sioux Falls City Football Club will have to wait longer than expected to play their home opener.

The team’s first scheduled home match at Bob Young Field on Sunday night was cancelled when visiting RKC Third Coast (based out of Racine, Wisconsin) elected to forfeit due poor air quality caused by Canadian wildfire smoke hanging over the region.

Sioux Falls City FC is credited with a 3-0 victory and three points in the USL W-League Standings. Their record improves to 3-1 overall with 9 points while RKC falls to 0-4.

Sioux Falls next match is on Friday night against Minnesota Aurora FC at TCO Stadium in Eagan, MN. Their next scheduled home match is on Wednesday, June
