CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - In a tie game, in the bottom of the ninth, Cedar Rapids Kernels outfielder Brandon Winokur stepped to the plate without a hit on his stat line.

He got his first - the most important of the game - with the bases loaded, brining Payton Eeles home and securing a 7-6 victory for the Kernels.

Winkour, who was called up from low-A Fort Myers before this season, finished the day with a hit, an RBI and a run scored (he reached first base in the first inning on a fielder’s choice).

Jacob Wosinski earned the win, pitching one inning of relief, striking out two batters and not allowing a baserunner.

Nate Baez had three hits, a walk and an RBI. Danny De Andrade had two hits and three RBIs.
