SIOUX FALLS — Four past coaching greats are slated to be inducted into the South Dakota Cross Country and Track & Field Coaches Association (SDCCTFCA) Hall of Fame this weekend.

Larry Buffington of Gayville, Jerry Rhodes Jr. of Philip, Carmen Robinson of Yankton and Jim Tays of Hot Springs are set to be honored during a ceremony scheduled for approximately 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, during the State High School Track and Field Championships at Howard Wood Field.

Robinson is a Redfield native and Tays a Gettysburg native. Buffington graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen.
