HOUSTON (KIAH) — A shooting took place at a hotel in West Harris County over the weekend. According to the reports, one person was killed during the shooting, while another was injured.

The incident happened in the parking lot off Timber Creek while three men were sitting in a car. The driver said another car pulled up next to the group, a person in a mask exited the vehicle and began shooting at the group before leaving.

The driver was not hit with gunfire, but the passengers in his vehicle were. He told the police that he attempted to drive away and call for help when the authorities arrived.

One of the passengers was pronounced deceased on the scene, while the other was taken to the hospital. An investigation is underway.
