ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia and Georgia Tech both saw their seasons end at the regional stage on Sunday, both losing elimination games by the same 11-9 scoreline.

In Athens, No. 7 national seeded UGA lost after leading 7-3 at one point in a heated affair with Oklahoma State.

Kollin Ritchie started a four-run ninth inning that tied it in fifth with his 17th home run of the season. Later freshman Brock Thompson hit a walk-off two-run homer as the Cowboys eliminated the Dawgs.

It was Ritchie’s fourth homer of the regional and Thompson’s shot to the opposite field was Oklahoma State’s 15th.

Oklahoma State later got knocked out by Duke in the double-elimination format, losing 3-2 to a Blue Devils squad that had beaten UGA on Saturday and sent the Dawgs to the brink of elimination.
