DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) -- After a cooler and drier weekend, summer will be in full effect this week.
Highs today will climb into the upper 80s to near 90, a trend that will continue through the workweek.
Rain chances will remain at zero today and near zero tomorrow. There is a chance for an isolated shower or storm Tuesday night.
Rain chances start to climb during the day on Wednesday. These will come in the form of scattered afternoon pop-up storms. Heavy rain and frequent lightning will be the primary hazards.
By the end of the week, we'll be making a run for the low to mid 90s, as lows climb into the low to mid 70s. By the weekend, "feels like" temperatures will approach the triple digits.
