For a second straight year, “change” has been the theme of the offseason in New England. While 2024 saw the Patriots and longtime head coach Bill Belichick reach the end of their road together and the organization bring in Drake Maye as its quarterback of the future, 2025 started with yet another coaching change — Jerod Mayo to Mike Vrabel — plus significant roster turnover.

Gone are the last few former Super Bowl champions such as team leaders David Andrews, Ja’Whaun Bentley and Joe Cardona, replaced by a new generation of potential cornerstones. Needless to say, these are not your father’s Patriots. Heck, these might not even be your Patriots anymore.
