ATLANTA — Georgia Tech announced Monday that the school's athletic director for the last three years, J Batt, had accepted a position at Michigan State.

MSU also announced Batt , who started at Tech in 2022, as their new vice president and director of athletics. Tech said in a release Monday that a national search for a new athletic director will "begin shortly."

Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera said in a statement that Batt "made a remarkable impact in a short time." The school credited Batt in their announcement with orchestrating a "transformative chapter in Georgia Tech Athletics, marked by bold leadership, record-breaking milestones, and competitive momentum."
