(WPRI) — Federal officials on Monday may reveal more details on the government's efforts to crack down on immigration in Massachusetts.

U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Attorney Leah Foley are holding a press conference at 11:30 a.m. to reveal the "results of immigration enforcement surge operation."

ICE has detained several people in Southeastern Massachusetts in recent months.

The detention of a Milford High School student made national headlines over the weekend. In mid-April, a video showing an agent smashing a car window while trying to detain a man in New Bedford went viral on social media.
