ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested Sunday morning after someone walked into a York County ER with a gunshot wound, according to police.

Ron McClurkin, 54 of Rock Hill, was apprehended and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The shooting happened on Sunday, June 1, around 5 a.m. at a house along Simpson Street near Friedheim Road .

Reports stated a 41-year-old victim walked into the ER with a gunshot wound to his hip and told police McClurkin shot him.

With that information, officers said they went to the house and saw two men inside, but neither answered the door. As a result, SWAT, crisis negotiation, and bomb squads responded.

Eventually, authorities entered the building and both men were removed without incident.
