IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa women’s basketball has named a new assistant coach.

P. Sue Beckwith, MD, and head coach Jan Jensen announced Jasmyn Walker will be joining the program Monday.

“I am so excited to welcome Jas to our staff,” said Jensen. “Jas is a bright, young coach with a skill set that will complement our staff so well. I am thrilled to begin utilizing Jas’ experiences and am looking forward to having her to join our Hawkeye family.”

Walker began her coaching career in 2019 at Davenport University.

She then moved on to coach two seasons at Ferris State, where she helped the team win the GLIAC Tournament in 2022. The team finished the season with 22-10, advancing to the NCAA Midwest Regional quarterfinals.
