TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Parts of Tampa saw hail on Monday as morning storms moved through.

Residents shared videos to WFLA.com/ReportIt showing hail battering their homes and businesses in the east Tampa area.

This came amid reports of quarter-sized hail near the Florida State Fairgrounds.

One resident captured hail falling in a parking lot at the fairgrounds.

1.5-inch hail was reported near Interstate 4 and US-301, according to a preliminary local storm report from the National Weather Service.

The NWS report said a 64 mph wind gust was reported at the Davis Islands Yacht Club just before 11 a.m.
