TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — TECO Energy reported thousands of people were left without power as storms blew through Tampa and the surrounding areas.
As of 1:10 p.m., the TECO outage map reported 2,976 customers without power. Earlier in the day, over 8,000 people did not have power.
Most of the outages were concentrated in Tampa, specifically Ybor City, Hyde Park, Tampa Heights, and the Seminole Heights neighborhoods.
