GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Frank Ragnow, the longtime center for the Detroit Lions, has announced his retirement.
“These past couple of months have been very trying as I’ve come to the realization that my football journey is ending and I’m officially retiring from the NFL,” Ragnow said on social media. “I’ve tried to convince myself that I’m feeling good but I’m not and it’s time to prioritize my health and my (family’s) future.”
Ragnow spent his entire seven-year career with the Lions. The Arkansas Razorback was selected 20th overall in the 2018 NFL draft and played 96 games in Honolulu Blue while dealing with several lingering injuries.
In 2023 alone, Ragnow dealt with a back problem and missed one game with a calf injury. That December, he missed just one game after undergoing knee
