AUBURN – The Indiana State Police, at the request of the Auburn Police Department, is investigating an officer-involved shooting, resulting in injuries to an Auburn man.
Preliminary investigation by Indiana State Police detectives revealed that this evening at 6:30 p.m., a call came into DeKalb County dispatch of a male who entered a residence in the 300 block of West 11th Street in Auburn and pointed a gun at another person.
Auburn Police Department responded to the location, and the man had fled the area. Auburn PD located the man a short time later near the residence. The male was armed, and an exchange of gunfire ensued.
