A downtown Tulsa church built more than 100 years ago has been sold to a local development company, according to Tulsa County Clerk’s Office records.
A May 15-dated deed indicates that the First Christian Church of Tulsa’s downtown facility sold for $4.25 million to Interak Corp., led by developer David Sharp , who could not be reached for comment Monday.
The Rev. William Smith, First Christian Church of Tulsa’s interim senior minister, said there have been both tears and excitement about the coming move. The congregation’s last services in the building will be this Sunday.
