MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - A Milwaukee man is charged with framing Ramon Morales-Reyes, an immigrant living in the country illegally, who was accused of threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump.

According to a criminal complaint, the Milwaukee man, Demetric Scott, admitted to investigators that he wrote letters pretending to be Ramon Morales-Reyes.

Scott sent the letters to the Wisconsin Attorney General’s Office, the Milwaukee Police Chief, and the Milwaukee Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office on or around Wednesday, May 21.

The letter written to ICE reads:

“We are tired of this president messing with us Mexicans - we have done more for this county than you white people - you have been deporting my family and I think it is time Donald J. Trump get what he has coming to
