A coalition hoping to safeguard Arkansans’ rights to make their own laws hit the first of what will likely be many roadblocks on Monday, when Attorney General Tim Griffin denied their proposed ballot title for the Arkansas Ballot Measure Rights Amendment.
It’s common for groups angling to put ballot measures to voters to have to submit a number of drafts before the attorney general signs off. The Protect AR Rights coalition seemed to take it in stride.

We’re not surprised by today’s decision from the Attorney General because it’s rare
for a ballot measure to be approved on the first try. This is simply the first step in a
