BATON ROUGE, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Volunteer Louisiana Executive Director Judd Jeansonne was named the Stoneman Brown Advocate of the Year by Voices for National Service.

The award is presented annually to an individual "who has demonstrated exemplary determination, creativity, and results in building support for national service among our nation's leaders."

"It is an honor to be recognized for my work on behalf of AmeriCorps and state commissions," said Jeansonne. "Recent cuts and grant terminations have created unprecedented challenges, but I am proud of our work in Louisiana to build bipartisan support at all levels of government.
