Over the weekend, President Donald Trump abruptly pulled his NASA administrator nomination just days before Jared Isaacman was approaching a possible confirmation vote.

In a post to his social media platform, Truth Social, the president said, "After a thorough review of prior associations, I am hereby withdrawing the nomination of Jared Isaacman to head NASA." He then added, "I will soon announce a new nominee who will be mission-aligned and put America First in Space."

"NASA, unfortunately, will still be in some level of limbo until a permanent administrator can be named," Don Platt said.

Platt is the director of the Spaceport Education Center at Florida Tech. His work has involved developing, testing and flying different types of avionics, communications and rocket propulsion system
