LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — As homelessness continues to rise across the nation, with an 18% increase reported in Arkansas from 2023 to now, Little Rock's First United Methodist Church is taking action.

The church has launched the "Lil' Rock 'N Roll Wash" van, a mobile laundry service offering free laundry facilities to those in need.

What was once a church van now houses two washers and dryers, providing a vital service to the community. Currently, the church invites those in need to use the laundry facilities at the church on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. However, plans are in place to take the van on the road later this summer.
