CHAPEL HILL — UNC baseball will host a super regional for a second straight season at Boshamer Stadium and the 12th time in program history.

The top-seeded Tar Heels smoked the second-seeded Sooners 14-4 in the finale of the Chapel Hill Regional on Monday, June 2.

UNC (45-13) scored seven runs across the first three innings, putting three on the board in the opening frame before scoring four in the third inning. The Heels added three more runs across its final two innings.

Gavin Gallaher had four hits, including two home runs and four RBIs in the clincher. Gallaher finished the Chapel Hill Regional with a 13-for-18 effort at the plate, including three home runs, three doubles and a triple. He had 10 RBIs across four games. He was named Most Outstanding Player of the Chapel Hill Regional
