MATTHEWS, N.C. — A man wanted for allegedly forcing a woman into a vehicle and kidnapping her in Matthews was arrested after several days on the run, police say.
Police say Logan Calaway forced a female victim into a dark-colored BMW sedan with an unknown license plate number before speeding away from the 1400 block of Matthews Mint Hill Road. The incident happened on Monday, June 2. Court documents allege that Calaway went to the victim's workplace and waited in the parking lot before forcing her into his car. Investigators claim that he wrapped his forearm around her neck, causing bruises and scratch marks on her body.
