GROVE CITY, Pa. - A Corry, Pennsylvania, woman has been charged with financial exploitation of an older adult and theft after allegedly misusing over $41,000 from her mother's bank account.

Lynn Dewey, 55, was arrested May 20 by Grove City Police following an investigation that began May 2.

According to a criminal complaint, authorities were contacted by Quality Life Services regarding a possible theft of funds from an 80-year-old Grove City woman who reportedly suffers from severe aphasia and is unable to care for herself or make financial decisions.

Dewey, identified as the woman’s daughter and power of attorney, had access to her mother's PNC Bank account.

Quality Life Services administrators informed police that the woman's bank statements from December 2023 to the present showed
