Houston's The Nerve-Curlers were in a playful mood on a recent evening at their East Downtown rehearsal space; Connor Pursell, lead guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the band wore a Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling) mask and initially communicated mostly in grunts while drummer Ken Dannelley interpreted for him and bassist Neil Jeffrey also joined in on the conversation. Dannelley announced that Pursell's wrestling persona is "Bee Sting" as Pursell grunted that he got stung by a bee.
