NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro Police officers pursued a vehicle overnight linked to a shooting in April that involved an off-duty officer in Nashville, according to authorities.
Officials said the vehicle was first spotted in the 4000 block of Lebanon Road. When officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver fled. Law enforcement followed the vehicle until it crossed into Sumner County and the pursuit was terminated.
The vehicle was reportedly involved in an April 23 incident, during which a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Scott Hudgens Jr. fled from a Nolensville Pike Walmart after shots were fired by an off-duty officer working as store security.
Hudgens was accused of shoplifting and is wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft of merchandise after a February incident
