Addison Kluck, the back-to-back Wisconsin Valley Conference player of the year, led the way for the Evergreens, pitching a complete game with zero earned runs, and 11 batters sent away. She notched her twelfth consecutive double-digit strikeout performance.
Chippewa Falls and the Evergreens were both scoreless entering the sixth inning, until Chippewa Falls capitalized with a double that scored the go-ahead run. The Evergreens, hitless until the sixth inning, answered when Sydney Spear drove in Brooke Brown with a ground ball made successful via error, tying the game at 1-1 entering the seventh.
