A driver fleeing police in Brooklyn on Monday night wound up speeding into a subway station, leaving his vehicle on the tracks.
According to police sources, officers from the 75th Precinct attempted to pull over a driver operating a Jeep on Cozine Avenue and Malta Street at around 10:30 p.m.on June 2 after spotting the vehicle with illegal tinted windows.
As officers approached the car, the Jeep driver hit the accelerator and fled.
While fleeing, authorities reported, the Jeep driver lost control of the vehicle near the corner of East 105th Street and Farragut Road, careening into the fence of the East 105th Street L train station.
“Next thing I know, he was into the fence. Absolutely crazy,” one eyewitness said. Close
