EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for the Innovation Center for Science and Health at the site of the former Welborn Clinic building in downtown Evansville.
According to a press release, EVSC is partnering with the University of Evansville.
Officials say the goal for the new facility is to expand innovative learning opportunities for local high school and college students in science, healthcare and medical fields.
Construction is set to begin immediately, with the facility expected to open in 2026.
