The Ukrainian Security Services have said they hit the bearing pillars of the Crimean Bridge on Tuesday morning with an underwater explosion triggered by 1,100kg of TNT.
"Previously, we hit the Crimean Bridge twice in 2022 and 2023. Today we continued this tradition underwater," head of the Ukranian Security Services (SBU), Vasyl Malyuk, wrote on Telegram alongside a video of the apparent explosion.
Ukraine has claimed two previous attacks on the bridge, which connects the occupied Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea with the Russian mainland and is a vital logistics route for the Russian military. But Tuesday's attack is the first to take place underwater.
