The 17-year-old boy who died early Sunday near two Bethlehem Area School District schools has been identified by authorities as a junior at Freedom High School.
Bethlehem Township Police Chief Greg Gottschall identified the teen to lehighvalleylive.com Monday evening as David Nagy and said he lived with his family in Bethlehem Township.
The incident is being treated as a “criminal investigation” by Bethlehem Township police and the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, the chief said.
Nagy was with other teens at the time of the incident at 1:30 a.m. along Chester Road, Gottschall said.
