Four men have appeared in court after vapes were reportedly stolen in two burglaries in Kent. Police said the e-cigarettes were taken from businesses in Chatham.

Kent Police was called on Wednesday, March 12 after the owners of a business in Second Avenue found a large quantity of vapes had been stolen overnight.

A second break-in was reported at a shop in Luton Road on Thursday, March 27, with cash and vapes stolen.

Officers reviewed CCTV footage at the scene and local area, along with data from automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). A forensic examination was also completed.

Enquiries led to the arrests of four suspects on Thursday, May 29.

Hawbash Hassan and Daniel Nikkah, both of no fixed address, were detained in London and Eastbourne, East Sussex, respectively.
