BEAUFORT, S.C. (WCSC) - A man is in custody in connection to the latest in a series of criminal acts in a Beaufort apartment complex and police are now working to address that spike in crime.

Gasnel O’Bryan Miller, 35, of Beaufort, is charged with firing a weapon into a vehicle, aggravated breach of peace, pointing and presenting a weapon at a person, firing a weapon in city limits and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

Miller was arrested Saturday and is accused in Wednesday’s shooting at the Garden Oaks Apartments.

That shooting was one of many incidents that have occurred at the Garden Oaks Apartments in recent months, including a shooting that sent a teen to the hospital and others that left people dead .
