Two structure fires reported in Mandan, two injured

MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — The Mandan Fire Department has reported two structure fires this weekend, which led to two people being taken to the hospital.

On Sunday, June 1, at about 6:35 a.m., the Mandan Fire Department responded to a fire in a commercial structure in the 300 block of Bisman Avenue SE. Crews arrived and found smoke coming from a storage unit facility.

The fire affected four of the units, but was quickly put out. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

On Friday, May 30, about 7:26 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of 8th Ave NE for reports of a structure fire with entrapment. Crews found fire and smoke inside the home and began searching for victims.
