A woman has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A229. The incident happened at around 9.40am on Tuesday (June 3) in City Way, Rochester .

Officers, paramedics, and fire crews attended the scene. One of the vehicles had overturned following the collision.

A Kent Police said: "A woman was treated for injuries and taken to a local hospital for medical attention. Officers closed City Way between the junctions with Pattens Lane, and Old Pattens Lane, while arrangements were made to recover the cars and remove an oil spillage."

The road has since reopened.
