LAUREL, Mont. – Fred Graff Elementary, a cornerstone of the Laurel community for over seven decades, is closing its doors for good this week.

The school has served as an educational home for countless students and staff members over the years. The closure was marked by a heartfelt gathering that felt more like a reunion, with smiles, laughter, and hugs filling the hallways.

Among those attending the farewell were individuals who spent only a few years at the school, while others dedicated lifetimes to it. Many who walked the halls as students returned later as teachers.
