JEFFERSON CITY, Mo - The Missouri Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for funding through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
The USDA defines specialty crops as fruits, vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, honey, horticulture, and nursery crops. The program is designed to expand markets on local, regional, and international levels and to develop distribution channels for specialty crops. The department will consider grant awards of up to a maximum of $50,000 for a specific project with a two-year grant period.
Applications must be submitted to the Missouri Department of Agriculture by 3 pm on Wednesday, July 2nd. Selected projects will be included in the Missouri State Plan for USDA review and approval. For more information visit agriculture.mo.gov
