It’s been 40 years this month since 41-year-old Concord resident Dottie Caylor vanished without a trace, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions that still haunt the Concord community to this day. Dottie was last seen in June of 1985. Her husband, Jule Caylor, claimed he dropped her off at the Pleasant Hill BART station. Her car was later discovered parked at the Concord BART station the next day, but there were no confirmed sightings of Dottie, no signs of struggle, and no concrete evidence pointing to where she went or what happened.
