KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Wake Forest issued a statement Tuesday after baseball coach Tom Walter had an "outburst" in the dugout during the Demon Deacons' loss to Tennessee in the Knoxville regional on Monday.
Cameras caught Walter during the bottom of the fourth inning yelling something at Tennessee batter Andrew Fischer. Fischer went on to hit a two-run home run in his at-bat, extending Tennessee's lead.
Some people on social media allege that Walter used a homophobic slur during his tirade.
