KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's that time of the year when summer storms roll into the Kansas City metro and wreak havoc on the region.
But don't worry, because the Kansas City Fire Department has provided three tips you need to stay prepared in the event of severe weather.

"Turn around, don't drown." • Avoid driving into heavy rains and high water. Turn around if you feel that your car may not be able to withstand pooling water on roadways. • According to KCFD, "It only takes a few inches of moving water to sweep a vehicle or person away."
