ST PAUL, Minn. — In the world of pro sports, it's almost like having to choose your favorite child.
The Minnesota Frost and the five other franchises in the PWHL have released their lists of three players that will be protected during the upcoming exclusive signing window and expansion draft, which will stock the rosters of new teams in Seattle and Vancouver, which will begin play in the 2025-26 season.
Fresh off their second straight Walter Cup Championship, the Frost chose to protect forward and team captain Kendall Coyne Schofield, forward Taylor Heise and defender Lee Stecklein.
Throughout the process, Seattle and Vancouver will acquire a combined total of four players from each of the six inaugural team rosters from the 2024–25 season.
