The Seattle Kraken announced Monday that they have signed Ben Meyers, who was the Coachella Valley Firebirds leading scorer last season, to a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the organization through the 2025-26 season.
Meyers, who was set to be a free agent on July 1, will now stay with the Kraken. The one-year, one-way deal is worth $775,000, the same amount he made this season.
Meyers was a key player for the Firebirds in the 2024-25 season. In 57 games, he had 23 goals and 28 assists to lead the Firebirds with 51 points during the season. He had a goal and two assists in six playoff games.
The 26-year-old also played eight games with the Kraken this season but did not register a point. He's played 75 total games in the NHL in his career, including stints with the Col
