The future stars of hockey will start wearing Under Armour jerseys next season after the sportswear company signed a deal to provide jerseys to the sport's best minor league.

Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UAA) signed a deal last week to become the exclusive jersey provider for the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), the primary feeder of young stars to the National Hockey League. The CHL, which makes up the country's three top junior leagues, has produced 12 of the last 18 top picks in the NHL draft. The deal continues Under Armour's long history in the hockey space, but represents the first major move for the company in the sport in years.
