LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Michigan man was arrested on Friday after trying to meet with an undercover officer he believed was a 14-year-old girl in Lincoln, according to police.
The Lincoln Police Department’s Special Victims Unit arrested 44-year-old Brad Strickland of Troy, Michigan at a hotel near 56th and R streets.
Strickland, using an alias, began messaging an undercover investigator who was posing as a 14-year-old girl on social media on May 27. LPD said he offered money in exchange for pictures and even asked to meet for sex.
Strickland made plans two days later to meet with the 14-year-old girl he believed was communicating with near the Gateway Mall, LPD said. He was arrested the next day and taken to the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of child enticement by electronic comm
